Maddy Butcher has been a journalist for most of her career, writing for such news outlets as the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post. In 2008 she became a bit more horse-centric and began the newsletter, The Nicker News. She’s since founded Cayuse Communications, the Best Horse Practices Summit and Best Horse Practices Podcast, and written 3 books: A Rider’s Reader, Horse Head, and Beasts of Being. She’s not only had the opportunity to pick the brains of some of the industry’s most influential people, but she’s legitimately one of them herself.
